Maria is a Howard County native with an affinity for small town charm, which is how she found herself captivated by Frederick–especially its beautiful downtown community. After deciding to attend Hood College in 2016, she quickly fell in love with the quaintness of the city and warmth of the locals. Her attention to detail and outgoing personality served her well as an orientation coordinator and executive board member of the Queer Student Union during her college career, helping her build rapport with Frederick businesses and other Hood students alike. Following her graduation in 2020 with a dual degree in Global Studies and French, she made Frederick her home and has enjoyed every minute of it. 

She has 10 years of experience in client service, including online clothing sales and marketing, and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure consumer satisfaction. Her previous work experience includes building rain gardens in the Howard County community to minimize harmful runoff into our beloved Chesapeake watershed, acting as a billing specialist in a fast-paced medical office, and meeting new people each day as a barista, all of which facilitated exposure to demanding environments that allowed her to swiftly adapt to any circumstance. 

In her free time, she enjoys reading and taking an excessive amount of pictures of her cat. She has wanted to pursue real estate since she was in high school, and finally got licensed to put her communication skills to use (and is loving it). She is a member of various organizations including the Frederick County Association of Realtors, Maryland Association of Realtors, and the Metropolitan Regional Information System, and is equipped with an abundance of valuable tools and resources provided by Long and Foster’s Premier Group to enable a smooth transaction for her clients. She is ready to help both new and experienced renters and home buyers find their dream location!
